WELCOME

I am a Professor of Sustainable Development at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. My research explores how cities and communities respond to life in a ‘Frontline City’ where climate transition, migration, inequality and infrastructure pressures interact. I enjoy working with students to create civic impact and work with communities through citizen science, applied research and other participatory methods. I regularly work internationally with universities, communities, policymakers and the United Nations on initiatives to develop practical, community-centred approaches to resilience, inclusion and sustainable development. In my spare time I watch Hertha BSC and I'm a founding member of Hertha UK.
